We removed the confetti effect in the little pop-up that appears on web after you publish a post.Sometimes being a dev feels almost like a Benoit Blanc movie. Of course, someone who writes a long post on google docs, one that they plan to paste and format on the editor, is going to spend some time there, and the chances they remember to switch to a secondary only after a while, in the middle of that edition work, are much higher than if you just open the editor to write a short-ish post, so they would run into this bug way more often than your average user. On the secondary blog you just selected and that very much doesn't have any draft that can be updated. The stupid developer who programmed autosave (me) didn't think about this case, so the autosaved draft (on your primary) doesn't get cleaned, and the next time it's moment to update the draft, the editor tries to do it. And from that moment, every subsequent save just updates that draft.īut what happens if you start writing a post in your primary blog, and after a while you realize this post is supposed to go to one of your secondaries? You change the selected blog and. You see, the first time the editor autosaves, it creates a new draft. For the last couple of days I have been trying to find something that Google docs could be adding to the formatting of the text that made our API to freak out, but it was much dumber than that. So I had spent a big chunk of the last couple of days trying to see it happening so I can fix whatever is going on. We got a report about how copy and paste large posts from Google docs and then working on the format on the editor made autosave fail sometimes. I've just sent a change for review, one that fixed a bug that makes the editor's autosave fail in certain conditions. ![]() This would move the tab configuration from Tumblr Labs to this new config view, and also allow reordering the dashboard tabs.Įxperiencing an issue?
